WheelPower National Junior Games

Providing sporting opportunities for young people with disabilities

We recognise that sport plays a vital role in the rehabilitation of those with disabilities and can often be a catalyst for increasing confidence, self esteem and a positive outlook on life.

That is why we have worked with WheelPower over the past four years to provide sporting opportunities for young people with disabilities aged 6-18. In 2008 our funding will allow over 500 children the chance to compete in multi-sport events at the National Junior Games at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic movement. And even the likes of Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, Britain's greatest Paralympian, competed in them when she was starting out.
