Get started in athletics

Norwich Union star:track events provide fun and exciting athletics opportunities for 8-15 year olds throughout the year, regardless of ability, gender or background. With the emphasis on fun, kids can develop and hone their athletics skills within structured coaching programmes, learning the technical side of athletics events* such as triple jump, hurdling, javelin and pole vault!

Fifteen years after the programme was launched, over 25,000 children now take part each year at over 500 venues across the UK, delivered by local authority organisers, athletics clubs, schools and other athletics development partners. There are even Norwich Union star:track events tailored to meet the specific needs of children with disabilities.
