Championing school sport

Since March 2005 we have run a joint campaign with the Daily Telegraph to champion school sport. 'School Sport Matters' aims to recognise and reward best practice in schools and provide a forum for debate. Aside from regular editorial features, we run the annual 'School Sport Matters Awards', which have been held at prestigious venues such as the House of Commons, Lords Cricket Ground and the Emirates Stadium. Supported by government and sporting luminaries including Dame Kelly Holmes, James Cracknell, Darren Campbell, Richard Caborn MP and Kate Hoey MP, the awards provide an important focal point to the campaign.
