Vote for a Local Initiative:
- Voting for a local initiative begins on 26th January 2008 and finishes at midnight on 14th September 2008.
- For the purpose of the Norwich Union Community Sports Fund, an "initiative" is defined as a sport or activity related enterprise, moment or body that has been pre selected to enter the said campaign after meeting the necessary criteria duly set by Norwich Union.
- Initiatives have all been pre selected in advance of the competition start date, and although we have endeavoured to ensure that there is an equal spread of initiatives in every region; this has not been possible in all cases.
- In order to vote, a person must 'join the team' by registering their details either on the website or on manual voting slips.
- Only one vote is allowed per e-mail address. Multiple or automatic voting systems or applications designed to circumvent this condition will result in such votes being made void.
- The Promoter reserves the right to offer additional voting opportunities to previous voters or introduce additional voting mechanics throughout the campaign.
- To win a Bronze Award (£1000), initiatives must show that they have made a concerted effort to gather support for their initiative and will be awarded to all initiatives that have received 200 votes and over. Bronze Awards will be at the discretion of the Promoter, using the above criteria.
- Initiatives will go head to head with other initiatives in their region to win the Silver Award (£12,500). There are 12 regions throughout the United Kingdom: North West, North East, Yorkshire & Humberside, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, South West, South East, London, Wales, Scotland & N. Ireland. The winner will be the initiative which secures the highest number of votes in its region.

- Silver Award winners will then be asked to submit a project plan to demonstrate how they would use the Gold Award (£50,000) by Friday 10th October 2008. A detailed template will be sent out to winners with these requirements.
- A panel of independent judges will choose one winner from the project plans submitted to receive the Gold Award. (The names of those comprising the panel will be made available on request from 3rd October 2008).
